Yona Eagle in Mount Holly Township, NJ is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) for Food Services to learn and assist with organizing, planning, directing, and supervising the dietary department in a long-term care facility.

You will lead dining programs, train staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage records and budgets, and promote resident satisfaction while fostering professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in food service, preferably in long-term care.
• ServSafe Manager certification (National Restaurant Association).
• CDM/CFPP certification by ANFP.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work across shifts and under pressure.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Services Director with leading dining programs to enhance resident meals.
• Ensure programs meet federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Train staff on procedures and proper operation of equipment.
• Supervise and evaluate department staff.
• Plan staffing and schedules to ensure service levels.
• Maintain records (inventory, compliance, income/expense, personnel).
• Manage a cost-effective program within budget.
• Foster relations with residents, visitors, and other departments.
• Participate in facility meetings and committees.
• Support professional growth within the department.
• Conduct QA rounds and update on quality controls.
