Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) for Food Services to join our team in Bloomington, IN. You will learn to organize, plan, direct, and supervise functions within the dietary department that provides nutrition services to residents in a long-term care facility.

The MIT will train under the Food Services Director to build skills in managing dining programs, regulatory compliance, staff training, budgeting, and resident satisfaction, with growth into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in food service management or hospitality from an accredited institution
• Food service supervisory experience; long-term care preferred
• ServSafe Manager Certification and CDM/CFPP credentials where applicable
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work all shifts and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Services Director with leading dining programs for residents
• Ensure dining programs meet federal, state and local standards
• Train staff in procedures and equipment operation
• Supervise and evaluate department staff performance
• Plan staffing schedules and maintain required records
• Maintain cost efficiency and resident satisfaction through program management
