Job summary

Yona is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) for Food Services in Mount Holly, NJ to join the team and develop under the Food Services Director. You will learn to organize, plan, direct, and supervise a dietary department delivering nutrition services in a long-term care facility.

The role requires supervisory experience, relevant degrees or certifications, and a strong focus on quality dining and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality
• Food service supervisory experience; at least two years in long term care preferred
• ServSafe Certification for Managers, National Restaurant Association
• Certified Dietary Manager, CDM/CFPP, ANFP
• Skilled in motivating and supervising staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service and quality attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals
• Public speaking skills
• Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational abilities
• Ability to work all shifts as needed
• Proficient in Windows Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Services Director with leading quality dining programs that will enhance the meal experience for the residents
• Work with the Food Services Director to ensure dining programs meet federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations
• Train workers in procedures and proper operation and maintenance of equipment
• Supervise and evaluate the quality of work completed by department employees
• Plan work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered and maintain proper staffing levels
• Maintain required records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records
• Manage a cost-effective program to budget
• Maintain excellent relations with residents, visitors, and all community departments
• Actively participate in facility meetings and committees
• Follow all Company policies and procedures
• Promote professional growth and development of the entire departmental team
• Conduct quality assurance rounds and inspections to ensure current quality controls and methodologies are suitable and sustainable
• Report monthly initiatives, goals, and accomplishments
• Promote and monitor resident satisfaction
• Ensure food service operation is clean, safe, and sanitary
