Job summary

Spring Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Food Services Director (CDM) to lead the dietary department and ensure high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. You will develop menus, manage inventory and budgets, and maintain safe food service operations in line with regulations.

You will supervise dietary staff, partner with the healthcare team to promote resident well-being, and drive patient satisfaction through excellent service and attention to dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Service Administration, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in food service management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service.
• Develop and implement menu plans that meet the dietary needs of our patients, including those with special dietary requirements.
• Manage inventory and budget, ensuring that food and supplies are ordered and used efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement programs to promote patient satisfaction and well-being.
• Supervise and train dietary staff, including cooks, servers, and other support staff.
