Job summary

IU Health Frankfort Hospital is seeking compassionate food service team members to support patient dining and hospital operations.

This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with shifts including 10am–6:30pm weekdays and every other weekend with rotating holidays. You will prepare, plate, serve, and transport meals, while ensuring timely and courteous service in a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must wear PPE and protective clothing as required.
• Adheres to local health regulations and safety rules.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Physical duties include lifting up to 35–80% of the time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public.
• Responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous service.
• Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety.
• Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
• No experience is required.
• Prior food service experience is preferred.
• Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
