Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for a full-time Food Service Worker 2 for the Caf Verde located at the TMCC Dandini campus.

• This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. It is responsible for daily operations of the hot line in Caf Verde, preparing neat and attractive hot and cold meals, maintaining a clean and organized station, safely operating kitchen equipment, and assisting with cleaning, sanitation, and inventory tasks.
• This role involves working in a dynamic open-air kitchen and ensuring cleanliness during and after service.

Additional Information

Per Executive Order 2024-007, all minimum qualifications have been waived until June 30, 2025. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.

Qualifications

Required:

• Two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation and service; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position affects public safety. Candidates must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with potential for extended hours during emergencies on a rotation basis.

Compensation
