University Hospitals is offering a $500 sign-on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for part-time nutrition services assistants hired externally.

A Brief Overview

This position performs daily food service duties to meet customer and patient feeding deadlines, ensuring prompt, accurate, and polite service aligned with department and University Hospitals standards. It involves maintaining a neat, clean, and sanitary work area, employing proper food safety procedures, and efficiently using department equipment.

What You Will Do
  • Perform daily food service duties to meet customer/patient feeding deadlines.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and sanitary work area appropriate for handling food and service ware, including mopping, sweeping, and dishwashing.
  • Use department equipment safely, efficiently, and confidently.
  • Follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including proper food safety protocols.
  • Stay current with training requirements and safety in-services.
  • Serve internal and external customers promptly, accurately, and politely, adhering to department and University Hospitals service standards.
  • Work in advanced skill areas such as diet office and/or cashier as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), completing annual training and adhering to the UH Code of Conduct and policies regarding PHI use.
