Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate workers in a correctional kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared per plans and safety standards. You will train staff, assign tasks, and maintain sanitation throughout operations.

Responsibilities include supervising inmates, ensuring timely meals, and enforcing recipes, portions, and dietary requirements while adhering to security procedures and HACCP policies.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one (1) year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience interacting with inmates a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members to attain quality and quantity of food production in a correctional work environment.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Aramark production guidelines and approve logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Assist in preparation and serving of meals.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Maintain security by following policies and locking storage areas.
• Monitor sanitation schedules and kitchen equipment.
