Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen and ensure meals are produced according to production plans. You will train workers, assign tasks, and coordinate operations while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

The role emphasizes supervising food preparation, serving meals, and enforcing Aramark policies; a food safety certification is required and prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old required.
• Minimum 1 year food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to prep and production guidelines per Aramark standards and logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to guidelines.
• Participate in meal preparation and serving.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Record daily population counts with staff.
• Follow security policies; keep storage areas locked.
• Return and secure all kitchen tools and keys.
• Set work and sanitation schedules; ensure adherence.
• Assist in inventory, receiving, and storage of food items.
• Participate in 5 P’s: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction.
• Follows SOPs for food handling and HACCP procedures.
