Job summary

Aramark in a correctional facility is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in kitchen operations and ensure meals are prepared according to production plans while maintaining sanitation and safety. You will train workers, coordinate duties, and ensure timely meal service while adhering to Aramark standards and HACCP procedures.

The role requires the ability to work in a secure facility and follow strict safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional work environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain production and temperature guidelines per Aramark standards by reviewing logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Prints and distributes recipes.
• Direct inmates in use of Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and fulfill dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas locked and keys secure.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules and sanitation plans.
• Assist in inventory; receive, store food items and requisition orders.
• Participate in 5 P's: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction.
• Follow company SOPs for food handling; follow HACCP policies.
