Starting Pay: $16/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
• Ensure food items are stored safely, organized, and hazard-free.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure all food items are served per menu specifications safely and appropriately following policies.
• Maintain a sanitary department adhering to health and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate weekly inventory.
• Prepare orders as needed for accurate production.
• Supervise, evaluate, counsel, and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
• Train and mentor food service workers.
• Keep logs on maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure completion of food safety/temperature logs with corrective actions as necessary.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks.
• Recommend equipment replacements to meet facility needs.
• Proficient in multi-tasking.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Fill in for absent employees as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of catering events, ensuring they are prepared and delivered on time.
• Work occasional night and weekend catering events.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Maintain communication with staff via various channels.
• Perform cashier duties if needed.
• Promote good public relations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Complete a sanitation course before or during the first year.
• Knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Resolve interpersonal situations effectively.
• Strong organizational skills.
