Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide to assist the cook with food preparation and presentation, and to help in the dishwashing area and dining operations.

You will perform tasks such as portioning salads, setting up the dishwashing area, maintaining sanitation, stocking shelves, and providing superior customer service to residents and guests. Flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested.
• Portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, floors and equipment.
• Set up and run dishwashing operation, keep dishwasher clean.
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment.
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerator.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
