Hy-Vee in Kansas is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead the full food service operation across the Market Grille, Mia Italian, Hy-Chi, and related departments. You will partner with chefs and department managers to deliver high-quality food at a competitive price while building a culture of hospitality.

The role requires strong business instincts, an ability to inspire a team, and a background in food service leadership.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required; sanitation and food safety coursework encouraged
• One year of similar or related experience required

Responsabilidades

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every interaction a positive one
• Oversee food quality and presentation across all food service departments including Market Grille, Mia Italian, Hy-Chi, and Kitchen departments
• Plan menus with chefs to be flavorful, popular, and cost-competitive, and select or create items based on cost analysis
• Oversee inventory and coordinate provisioning and purchasing with chefs
• Estimate food and beverage costs, supervise portions, and minimize waste through quantity management
• Perform frequent checks to ensure high-quality food preparation and service
• Uphold department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness and profitability
• Direct hiring, training, and scheduling of food service personnel
• Analyze sales trends, prepare ad projections, and contribute to marketing efforts
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
