Job summary

The Cincinnati Job Corps Center is hiring a Dining Services Assistant to support cooks and the Food Services Supervisor in preparing, serving, and sanitation of the dining facility. The role requires a proactive team player who can maintain cleanliness and order, rotate perishable items, and serve guests in a friendly, efficient manner.

The position is full-time with Sunday through Thursday shifts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; prior food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform essential duties with reasonable accommodations.
• ServSafe certification preferred; obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and supervisor with food prep, serving, and sanitation in the dining facility.
• Set up and breakdown of serving lines; keep dining and kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Restock and rotate perishable items to ensure freshness and safety.
• Serve students, staff, and guests courteously and efficiently.
• Operate kitchen equipment (dishwasher, slicer, mixer) and follow safety regulations.
