Job summary

Carl D Perkins Job Corps Center is seeking enthusiastic individuals for a Food Services role within the Center’s dining facility. You will assist cooks and the Food Services Manager in meal preparation, serving, and sanitation of equipment and surfaces.

The position requires teamwork to set up and break down serving lines, maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, and provide friendly service to students, staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience in food service strongly preferred.
• NRA Food Service Sanitation or Serve Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and Food Services Manager in preparing, serving, and sanitation of the dining facility, equipment and surfaces.
• Set up and break down of serving line; keep dining and kitchen area clean and organized.
• Assist with stocking, rotating perishable items, and replenishment of supplies.
• Serve students, staff, and guests in a courteous and efficient manner; assist with dishes as needed.
• Handle trash receptacles and maintain proper attire and hygiene.
• Be familiar with communication systems for emergencies and participate in mandated staff training.
