Job description

The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating the purchase of food items from suppliers to meet the needs of a restaurant, catering company, or other food service establishment. This role ensures quality, quantity, and price are optimized while adhering to budget constraints and maintaining inventory levels.

Responsibilities

1. Identify and evaluate vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
2. Compare prices and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
3. Manage deliveries and ensure all supplies meet quality standards.
4. Monitor product quality and adhere to food safety standards.
5. Review invoices to ensure orders are accurate and complete.
6. Maintain inventory levels and optimize purchasing processes.

This position is based in a hospital environment, working Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm. Flexibility is required as days and hours may vary depending on events.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour.
