Job summary

Hormel Foods offers a Food Safety & Quality Intern role designed to provide hands-on experience in real-world food manufacturing. You will support quality and process control teams, participate in HACCP implementation, and gain exposure to data collection and laboratory operations.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with management and auditors, learn about USDA processes, and develop leadership and analytical skills, while working at our US facilities with potential relocation considerations.

Qualifications

• Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 with GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, analytical and communication skills are necessary.
• Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit are required.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle for commuting to work locations.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the responsibilities of a full-time Quality and Process Control Supervisor.
• Consult with management on food safety and quality issues.
• Provide leadership on food safety and quality in facilities.
• Implement HACCP program and oversee sanitation procedures.
• Collect and analyze data for new or modified product lines.
• Train and manage quality auditors.
• Work with USDA and auditors.
• Design and evaluate quality specifications and auditing programs.
