Job summary

General Mills is offering a 10-week QA Internship in Food Safety & Quality at one of our U.S. manufacturing locations. The role focuses on hands-on experience in food safety, quality systems, data interpretation, and coaching on the manufacturing floor.

Interns will develop professional networks within FSQ and across the Supply Chain Development Program, with potential pathway into the full-time QA program after graduation. Relocation assistance and housing support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering (primarily Chemical / Food Process / Biological), or related degree
• Graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement food safety and quality systems improvements
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to make quality driven process capability improvements
• Assess risk using problem solving techniques
• Lead safety and quality strategy and mitigate risk
• Collaborate with internal partners to validate manufacturing controls and system capability
• Manage issues with non-conforming product including root cause analysis
• Protect General Mills' brands by ensuring safe, quality food
• Gain exposure to external regulatory and audit relationships

Education
