Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to support the food manufacturing process, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in daily production.

You will operate mixers, ovens, filling and packaging equipment, monitor performance, and maintain clean, sanitary conditions in the production area. You will follow SOPs and GMPs, conduct routine quality checks, document production logs in Redzone, and work with supervisors and QA to meet targets while adhering to OSHA safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; additional vocational training or certification in food production or manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience in food manufacturing or similar production environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment; set up and troubleshoot as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on materials and finished goods per SOPs and GMPs.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in production area.
• Follow production schedules and report issues affecting efficiency.
• Maintain production logs and batch records in the Redzone system.
• Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and QA staff.
• Work overtime including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
