Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Baltimore, MD is hiring for a processing helper to clean, wash and sanitize meat, seafood and poultry processing areas while keeping the workspace clean and safe. Responsibilities include prepping the processing room, powering down machines, breaking down equipment for cleaning, removing waste, and using water wash systems at 120–140F with proper detergents and MSDS procedures.

A high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 months of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prep Processing room for washing.
• Power down machines using appropriate procedures.
• Break down equipment for cleaning.
• Remove cardboard, trash bags, inedible from processing rooms.
• Use high and low pressure water wash systems with water temperature between 120-140F.
• Use proper detergent and sanitizing chemicals following MSDS procedures.
• Ability to read labels for chemical identification.
