Job summary

Sid Wainer & Son is seeking a sanitation associate to keep the meat, seafood, and poultry processing areas clean and safe. The role includes prepping rooms, safely powering down equipment, and breakdown for cleaning.

You will follow MSDS procedures and read chemical labels to identify proper detergents and sanitizers. Candidates typically have a high school diploma and 1–3 months of experience, with ability to work in a fast-paced processing environment and to handle detergents and cleaning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitize meat, seafood and poultry processing areas and maintain cleanliness of workspace.
• Prep Processing room for washing.
• Power down machines using appropriate procedures.
• Break down equipment for cleaning.
• Remove cardboard, trash bags, inedible from processing rooms.
• Use high and low pressure water wash systems with water temperature between 120-140F.
• Use proper detergent and sanitizing chemicals following MSDS procedures.
• Ability to read labels for chemical identification.
