Southside Market & Bbq in Hutto, TX is seeking a part-time prep/cook team member. You will follow recipes, set up food service lines, prepare and stock items, and maintain a clean prep area while delivering consistent quality and Texas hospitality.

Requirements include a Food Handler Certificate, ability to read and follow recipes, at least 1 year of prep or cooking experience, English fluency, and basic math for measurements. This role offers flexible part-time schedules and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow recipe.
• A year of prep or cooking experience required.
• Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
• While performing the duties of this job, he/she is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. He/she is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. He/she must often lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Regular use of commercial kitchen equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
