Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a full-time, direct-hire position with a Massachusetts-based specialty food packer and distributor.

The role focuses on owning equipment reliability, diagnosing and repairing packaging lines, and ensuring uptime across multiple machines, including fillers, labelers, and casepackers. You’ll work closely with Production leadership, learn the equipment, and progressively take independent, hands-on repair decisions while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of industrial maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and use diagnostic tools to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems on packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including inspections, lubrication, and component replacement.
• Respond to breakdowns and coordinate repairs with Production and Quality; return equipment to service safely.
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and testing.
• Document repairs and maintain preventive maintenance schedules during urgent work.
