Meijer is seeking exceptional Food Department Managers for East and West Grand Rapids. You will lead team members, drive onboarding, training, and coaching, and manage performance and development plans. The role focuses on engaging staff, budgeting, safety, and continuous improvement to meet customer needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service, plus strong leadership and financial acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Demonstrates commitment to safe working practices and operational excellence.

Responsabilités

• Engage with team members to ensure onboarding, training, development and coaching for success.
• Identify talent and support staffing and leadership pipeline.
• Lead candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversee area operations and financial results; manage budgets and productivity.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Direct Leads and Team Leaders with daily work assignments and training needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
