Job summary

Cassanos Inc. is seeking a General Manager in Training in Kettering, OH to lead food and beverage operations while upholding service standards and safety. You will handle cost controls, labor, and cash management during a manager’s absence, with a demanding 45-hour work week.

The MIT position requires strong English communication, cash handling experience, and the ability to train and supervise staff while maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and be cleared to current insurance/MVR guidelines to deliver in an emergency.
• Must have at least 6 months cash handling, food handling, customer service, and general supervision/management experience.
• Must have knowledge of customer service principles, quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Must have knowledge of basic math and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English preferred.
• Must understand management principles in resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and coordinating people/resources.
• Must have knowledge of recruitment, selection, training, and leading personnel.
• Must understand raw materials, store production processes, quality control, costs, and profitability for customer service.
• Must always have a working phone.
• Job may require standing or walking; long shifts and table height work may be required (34–45 inches).
• Ability to problem-solve, plan, motivate, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food and beverage operations, including food prep and service standards, and health/safety compliance.
• Direct cost control areas: food, miscellaneous costs, labor, and cash handling.
• Take responsibility during a manager’s absence for vacation or sick time.
• Ensure adherence to cash control and labor cost targets.
• Support a high-performing team through effective leadership and supervision.
