Qualifications

Job description

As a Food and Beverage Manager, your professional leadership will develop our team to the next level in delivering exceptional experiences and maintaining the Pfister Hotel’s reputation for prestigious service, encouraging guest loyalty. You will assist in overseeing our In-Room Dining Services and Club Lounge.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. It is one of only 11 properties in North America to maintain this status since the program's inception in 1976.

What you will be doing:
  1. Ensuring the highest quality of food, beverage, and service related to the operation.
  2. Assisting with interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and disciplining staff for efficient operation of each outlet.
  3. Interacting positively with customers to promote hotel facilities and services; resolving problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
  4. Maintaining profitability of the outlets to support hotel operations.
  5. Utilizing the POS system to accurately charge customers, track revenue reports, and ensure timeliness of food and beverage service. Input and retrieve data, and modify computer procedures using complex key sequences.
  6. Maintaining a professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and self-image for yourself and your subordinates.
  7. Performing other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of beverage operations and wines.
  • Mathematical abilities to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue, and other financial statements.
  • Effective communication skills to handle internal and external customers, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve issues.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous Food & Beverage and supervisory experience.
