Job summary

Target is hiring a Food & Beverage Expert to create an easy, inspiring guest experience on the sales floor. You will assist guests, manage replenishment and maintain food safety standards, while delivering excellent service across the store environment.

The role requires 18+ years of age and a welcoming attitude. You will work a flexible schedule, supporting a fast-paced team and using handheld scanners to ensure accurate transactions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery Only)
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and full shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures
• Work with vendors to set and maintain planned changes to displays and organize backroom space
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process accordingly
