Job summary

Target is seeking a Food & Beverage Expert to deliver a friendly guest experience, assist with product selection, and maintain high standards on the sales floor. You will support guest services, operate scanners, and collaborate with a fast-paced team to ensure accuracy and freshness across all foods.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a welcoming attitude, able to multitask, and comfortable with varied shifts including nights and weekends. Training is provided to help you grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Food or grocery experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
• Ability to use handheld scanners and related technology as directed.
• Work independently and with a team, resolving questions on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multi-step tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience while upholding Food & Beverage standards.
• Greet guests at different distances and engage in warm interactions.
• Help guests locate items and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every transaction with a sincere thank you and assist peers when needed.
• Deliver a full shopping experience across all hours of operations.
• Execute food & beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, and signing.
• Follow food safety requirements per Target policies and procedures.
• Promote products through sampling and suggestive selling; use vendors for displays.
• Identify damaged or expired items and handle accordingly; comply with laws.
• Operate cash registers and handheld devices safely; adapt to varying temperatures.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pickup while staying compliant.
