CGS Federal is seeking a FOIA Analyst to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency. You will process FOIA requests, draft correspondence, and engage in negotiations with requesters and staff, ensuring compliance with exemptions.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of FOIA experience, familiarity with exemptions b(4), b(5), and b(6), and the ability to read, write, and speak English. A government security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience processing FOIA requests.
• Knowledge of FOIA rules and exemptions (b(4), b(5), b(6)).
• Experience redacting records containing trade secrets or confidential information.

Responsabilités

• Receive, review, and analyze FOIA requests and backlogs.
• Enter request data into FOIA tracking system.
• Draft FOIA correspondence and negotiate with requesters and staff.
• Coordinate searches for responsive documents and identify duplicates.
• Ensure released materials comply with exemptions.
