CGS Federal is seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to support the legal mission of a large federal agency. You will process FOIA requests, draft correspondence, and negotiate with requesters and staff, while coordinating document searches and exemptions.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience processing FOIA requests.
• Knowledge of FOIA exemptions b(4), b(5), and b(6).
• Experience redacting records with trade secrets and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and analyze new and backlogged FOIA requests.
• Intake requests and prepare FOIA folders.
• Enter data in FOIA tracking database.
• Draft response letters and FOIA correspondence.
• Communicate negotiations with requesters and agencies.
• Coordinate searches for responsive documents and identify duplicates.
• Review records for responsiveness and release determinations.
