Job description

Nudy's Cafe is a local, family owned & operated business that serves casual breakfast and lunch throughout Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. It currently operates 16 locations and is looking to grow further.

Role Overview

We are hiring a full‑time Shift Leader to support our locations in Malvern (Frazer & The Grove). The Shift Leader will deliver a high‑quality customer experience, direct and motivate staff, and ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily restaurant operations.
• Understand and deliver on the Customer Journey.
• Deliver superior service & maximize customer satisfaction.
• Respond swiftly & accurately to customer concerns.
• Regularly review product quality.
• Organize and supervise shifts (7‑Shift system experience preferred).
• Continuously manage, coach and train employees and peers with a passion for service in mind.
• Ensure that Nudy's brand is represented consistently.
• Train new & current employees on proper customer service practices & side work schedules.
• Accountability for taking initiative, being people focused and result oriented.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Balance cash registers.
• Ensure that all team members comply with government regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hospitality leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams.
• Extensive knowledge of food, with the ability to answer customer questions.
• SERV Safe Certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
• Consistent Food Safety and Quality Line Check submissions with integrity.
• Ability to interpret restaurant operations data from reports and use it to inspire positive change.
• Open availability preferred; minimum availability: 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.
• Holidays are required (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Physical Requirements

• Traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Lifting, stooping, bending, twisting, and repeating the same movements.
• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Lift up to 25 pounds at times.
