Job summary

Nudy's Cafe, a local family-owned restaurant, is seeking a full-time Shift Leader to drive a high-quality customer experience across Wayne and Paoli locations. You will lead staff, ensure efficient operations, and uphold the Nudy’s Promise while maintaining service standards and brand integrity.

The role requires leadership experience, food knowledge, and a ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Open weekend availability and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hospitality leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams.
• Preferably extensive knowledge of food and ability to answer customer questions.
• SERV Safe Certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
• Consistent Food Safety and Quality checks with integrity.
• Open availability preferred; minimum availability 6:30 AM–4:30 PM on weekends/Mon–Tue.
• Holidays required (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Nudy's Cafe is a local, family owned & operated business. The customer journey is our key to success. Nudy's Cafe is the go-to casual breakfast & lunch location that provides quick, reasonably priced & freshly prepared meals in a family friendly environment. We currently operate in soon to be 16 locations across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. We anticipate future growth throughout local markets as we continue the search for additional locations.

We are actively recruiting for a full-time Shift Leader to assist in leading our locations. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality detailed customer experience. In addition, you will direct and motivate staff to provide the ‘Nudy’s Promise’ to each guest. You will ensure efficient restaurant operations, manage productivity, quality & customer service standards all while working with a great team! We utilize a multiunit hiring policy to assist in covering staffing gaps across the organization. This Shift Leader will need to work at both the Wayne and the Paoli locations.

Duties within this position include the following:

• Coordinate daily restaurant operations.

• Continuously manage, coach and train employees and peers with a passion for service in mind
• Ensure that Nudy's brand is represented consistently.
• Train new & current employees on proper customer service practices & side work schedules.
• Accountability for taking initiative, being people focused and result oriented.
• Conducting performance reviews
• Balancing cash registers
• Ensuring that all members of their team comply with government regulations and company policies

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s hospitality leadership
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams.
• Preferably have extensive knowledge of food, with the ability to successfully answer customer questions.
• SERV Safe Certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
• Consistent Food Safety and Quality Line Check submissions with Integrity
• An ability to interpret restaurant operations data from reports and effectively use this information to inspire positive change.
• OPEN AVAILABILITY IS PREFERRED. Minimum Availability: 6:30AM THROUGH 4:30PM on Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.
• Holidays are required (except Thanksgiving and Christmas.)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Ability to lift, stoop, bend, or twist and repeat the same movements.
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
