Job summary

Bamboo Sushi - LoHi in Denver is seeking a Front of House Shift Lead to support dining room operations in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This role focuses on leadership, training, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

You will lead hourly staff, ensure service standards, schedule coverage as Manager on Duty when needed, and uphold Bamboo Sushi’s hospitality and safety commitments for every guest.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service.
  • 1+ year experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or Corporate Trainer preferred.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card and OLCC Permit required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Manager on Duty in absence of a Manager and manage opening/closing duties.
  • Ensure front of house maintains high standards for a safe, hospitable guest experience.
  • Ensure correct food rung in and take ownership of beverage inventory.
  • Continued education on Japanese cuisine and beverages.

Front of House Shift Lead

Location: Denver

  • Ensuring a culture of positivity and accountability with hourly staff
  • Executing Training systems to a high level
  • Acting as Manager on Duty in absence of a Manager, executing the schedule as written, and validating completion of opening/closing duties

Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced full service restaurant with frequent distractions and loud noises.

Physical:

The person in this position needs to occasionally or frequently:

  • Maneuver about inside the restaurant/office to access food/beverage items, machinery, and other restaurant equipment
  • Operate basic office equipment
  • Operate basic restaurant equipment
  • Ascend/descend a ladder or stairs to service the machinery, lights, ceiling fans, etc.
  • Be able to exchange accurate information while communication with customers
  • Be able to distinguish different tastes, i.e., sweet and bitter flavors.
  • Work in a noisy/distracting environment
