Job summary

Bamboo Sushi, part of Sustainable Restaurant Group, is seeking a part-time team member to support high-volume guest service and lead training initiatives in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include acting as Manager on Duty when needed, ensuring front-of-house standards, and supporting beverage inventory and service quality. The role emphasizes ongoing education in Japanese cuisine and customer hospitality.

• Ensuring a culture of positivity and accountability with hourly staff

• Acting as Manager on Duty in absence of GM and AGM, executing the schedule as written, and validating completion of opening/closing duties
• Ensuring front of house executes high standards for a safe and hospitable guest experience
• Ensuring food is rung in correctly and taking ownership of beverage inventory
• Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages

• 4+ years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service
• 1+ or more years experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or Corporate Trainer preferred

Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced full service restaurant with frequent distractions and loud noises.

Physical

The person in this position needs to occasionally or frequently:

• Maneuver about inside the restaurant/office to access food/beverage items, machinery, and other restaurant equipment
• Operate basic office equipment
• Operate basic restaurant equipment
• Ascend/descend a ladder or stairs to service the machinery, lights, ceiling fans, etc.
• Be able to exchange accurate information while communication with customers
• Be able to distinguish different tastes, i.e., sweet and bitter flavors.
• Work in a noisy/distracting environment
