Job summary

An experienced Assistant General Manager is sought for a high-volume kosher restaurant in New York City. You will lead FOH operations, hire and develop hourly staff, uphold service standards, and collaborate with the GM to drive financial performance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in restaurant management, strong leadership and guest relations, and comfort with labor, scheduling, inventory and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience.
• High-volume, full-service restaurant experience preferred.
• Kosher restaurant experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Working knowledge of labor, scheduling, inventory and restaurant financials.
• Excellent communication and guest-relations skills.
• NYC restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily FOH operations in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop hourly team members.
• Maintain hospitality, service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Manage scheduling and labor while supporting productivity and cost-control goals.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure strong FOH/BOH communication.
• Monitor inventory, ordering and operational expenses.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and timely.
• Ensure compliance with Health Dept, food safety, and standards.
• Support GM with financial performance and sales-building initiatives.
• Foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented workplace culture.
