Job summary

Novolex in Corsicana, Texas, is seeking a Team Lead (Foam - C Shift) to manage production on 7:00pm–7:00am and ensure accurate job dockets across lines. The role includes supervising packers, updating labor and downtime data, and coordinating staffing with supervisors and relief staff.

Starting pay ranges from $22.55 to $33.21 per hour, with a $1.50 shift differential. The position requires the ability to stand long hours, work overtime, and use SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office & SAP.
• Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team is essential.
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills; ability to work well in group situations.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner.
• Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed.
• Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours due to the nature of the work.
• Must be able to wear the required PPE to enter the plant/complete the tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dockets match the job running on all production lines.
• Update production information based on operator production reports.
• Assign packers/stackers to designated lines.
• Assign break relievers tasks and designate lines within the department.
• Gather manning information for daily staffing updates.
• Ensure packers follow correct procedures based on events happening in area.
• Perform numerous SAP functions (verify jobs, down time, etc.).
• Create PORT tickets and labels as needed.
• Oversee new hire development across multiple functions.
• Update and distribute labor tracker, 4-hour report, and regrind reports.
• Ensure a backup Lead is trained and capable of performing Lead tasks in absence.
• Assist Supervisor based on duties assigned.
