Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manager of Lunar Fluids/Thermal Component Test to lead a team developing, qualifying, and testing fluids components for Blue Moon landers. You will drive test plans, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure safety and high-quality outputs across development and production phases.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in fluids/thermal testing, strong troubleshooting, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 6+ years in fluids/thermal component development, testing, or qualification.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform causal analysis on faults.
• Experience building, motivating, and retaining a high-performing engineering team.
• Demonstrated safety culture and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for development, qualification, and acceptance testing of fluids components.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and requirements for developmental and production objectives.
• Review and approve critical technical outputs including test reports and plans.
• Coordinate with internal customers to plan and allocate resources for test campaigns.
• Identify and mitigate risks; communicate them to leadership as needed.
• Establish team metrics and project tracking for data-driven decisions.
• Oversee full lifecycle for Fluids Component Test Engineers, including hiring and development.
