Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manager of Lunar Fluids/Thermal Component Test to lead a team of engineers in developing, qualifying, and accepting fluids components for Blue Moon landers. You will partner with design, quality, operations, and other teams to deliver test solutions across the component lifecycle.

You will drive technical leadership, planning, execution, and risk management while ensuring a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in development, qualification, or acceptance testing of fluids/thermal components or related systems.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and causal analysis on component/system faults.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for development, qualification, and acceptance testing of fluids components.
• Guide the team in developing test plans, procedures, and requirements that meet development and production objectives.
• Review and approve critical test outputs including plans, procedures, and verification reports.
• Coordinate with internal customers to plan, schedule, and allocate resources for test campaigns.
• Identify, document, and mitigate risks; communicate risks and mitigations to leadership when needed.
• Establish and maintain team metrics and project tracking to monitor execution health.
