Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Fluids Test Engineer to design and execute tests for fluids components across lunar lander product lines. You will write test plans, support equipment design, and maintain configuration controls to ensure safe, repeatable testing.

The role requires a mechanical/ aerospace/ civil background, 2+ years of relevant experience, and experience with cryogenic and pressurized GN2 systems. On-site work in Washington is expected with strong analytical and safety skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with pressurized equipment; developing, writing, and executing test procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems.
  • Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Write test plans and test procedures for pump and fluid components, including development, and environmental qualification and acceptance campaigns
  • Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration
  • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability
  • Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations
  • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks
