Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Lunar Permanence Core Components Test team. You will develop, execute, and oversee thermal and fluid component tests for the MK1/MK2 Lunar Landers, working closely with technicians and engineers to ensure safe, reliable flight hardware.

This hands-on role requires broad multidisciplinary engineering knowledge, strong safety practices, and leadership to coordinate with internal customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on test experience or exposure to inspection, performance, leakage, shock, vibation, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, pressurized operations, EMC, or life testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills including prioritization, scheduling, and succinct status reports.
• A strong safety record.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute Thermal and Fluid component tests, including development, qualification, acceptance, performance, and environmental testing.
• Assist in developing test requirements, plans, and procedures to ensure hardware/system performance.
• Create and review Test Plans, Test Procedures, safety assessments, schematics, and other engineering artifacts.
• Procure and install test support equipment; manage vendors and subcontractors during installation.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during testing.
• Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work, and coordinate with internal customers.
