Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Test Engineer for the Lunar Permanence Core Components Test team in Washington. The role focuses on development, acceptance, and qualification testing for flight hardware of the MK1/MK2 Lunar Landers, with travel and offsite integration expected.

You will apply multidisciplinary engineering knowledge across fluids, thermal, mechanical, and electrical domains, contribute to safety-critical operations, and work with technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality test

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
  • Hands-on test experience or exposure to inspection, performance, leakage, shock, vibration, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, pressurized operations, EMC, or life testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, scheduling, and status reporting abilities.
  • Solid safety record and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute Thermal and Fluid component tests (development, qualification, acceptance, performance, environmental testing).
  • Assist in creating test requirements, plans, and procedures for hardware/system performance.
  • Create and review Test Plans, Test Procedures, safety assessments, schematics, and other artifacts.
  • Procure and install test support equipment; manage vendors and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshoot issues during testing and participate in readiness reviews and briefings.
  • Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
  • Analyze and archive test data; lead daily test operations and coordinate with internal customers.
