Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking a Fluids Systems Design Engineer to develop launch infrastructure for New Glenn. You will design, analyze, and test critical fluid systems from high-pressure pneumatics to environmental control systems, ensuring safe, reliable hardware delivery.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with strong fluid dynamics knowledge, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with P&ID diagrams, CFD/thermohydraulic tools, and Creo/SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in fluid or mechanical system design and analysis.
  • Experience creating and interpreting P&ID diagrams.
  • Proficiency with industry tools for fluid network and thermal analysis (AFT Fathom/Arrow, GFSSP, Sinda/Fluint, Thermal Desktop).
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo/SolidWorks) and configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fluid systems from concept through detailed design and release.
  • Perform detailed fluid and thermal analyses to validate performance.
  • Create and release schematics, P&IDs, 3D models, specs, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams for integration.
  • Plan and execute system-level tests and analyze data against requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and PHAs to ensure safety and reliability.
