Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to support the design, development, and testing of the New Glenn second stage (2E). You will engage in trade studies, model subsystems, and drive hardware development through manufacturing and testing on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include lifecycle support from initial trade studies through test and on-orbit operations, plus data analysis and automation enhancements to streamline workflows, enabling scalable launch rate targets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience with CAD and engineering drawings.
  • Strong application of first principles thermodynamics, heat transfer, solid mechanics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligible status for security clearance as required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct trade studies for 2E subsystem design and upgrades.
  • Design, model, and analyze complex second stage subsystems including thermal fluid systems, structural components, and propulsion hardware.
  • Drive hardware development through manufacturing and testing on schedule and within budget.
  • Support implementation of designs through the product lifecycle from trade studies to test and on-orbit operations.
  • Support and participate in component and system level testing and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and scale toward launch rate targets.
