Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Rep for the Fluid Solutions Division. You will be the first point of contact to rent and sell specialty engineered Fluid Solutions equipment, such as hydraulic pumps, leveraging consultative skills to turn prospects into loyal customers.

You will maximize revenue in a defined territory, nurture existing relationships, and collaborate with specialty divisions to drive cross-selling. A base salary with commissions is provided during onboarding and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Three years of sales experience is expected.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills are essential.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities are valued.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiaries, acting as a single point of contact.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts from various sources including competitors.
• Collaborate with specialty division to promote cross selling.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Utilize CRM tools to develop pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors and market conditions.
