Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, a leading fluid power distributor, seeks a Fluid Power MRO Specialist to serve customers in the Fairfield, CA area. You will combine hydraulic/pneumatic expertise with basic account management to offer technical solutions and build strong relationships with existing and new customers.

The role emphasizes being a local technical expert, supporting sales teams, and driving new business through technical proposals, drawings review, and customer training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years fluid power experience including practical applications (hydraulic and/or pneumatic).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and system schematics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and remote collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Cooperatively create and execute an engagement plan with local US Service Center sales teams identifying high potential accounts.
• Act as local, technical fluid power expert in assigned region and facilitate supplier interactions.
• Prepare and present fluid power solutions to customers, reviewing drawings and plans to develop technical proposals.
• Conduct fluid power training for internal staff and customers to increase knowledge and value.
• Develop relationships with supplier resources to specify products and systems that boost performance.
• Coordinate projects with US Service Center personnel.
• Contribute to the fluid power knowledge base with applications, case histories and market activities.
