Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Account Manager for Spokane, WA. The role covers Moses Lake to Northern Idaho with up to 10% overnight travel.

You will sell fluid power products to B2B customers, build relationships, and drive growth for a leading industrial distributor. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of industrial outside sales or an engineering background with sales aptitude.

Qualifications

• 1+ year proven industrial B2B outside sales experience OR recent engineering grad with a sales mentality.
• Fluid power components, systems, & careers knowledge preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel
• Ability to open new business, develop relationships
• Mechanical aptitude, self-starter with a strong desire to succeed
• Written and verbal communication skills including English grammar
• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (MVR)
• Fluid Power certification is a plus
• On-site, not relocation eligible; US work authorization required

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers, opening new business, and customer retention
• Conduct sales and service activities, develop customer relationships, identify applications and solutions
• Partner with manufacturer reps and support team to spec in products/systems
• Prepare quotes, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions
• Organize and conduct training sessions for customers, survey market and competition
• Complete reports on itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and related items
• Monitor complaints, follow up on orders, and handle emergency deliveries as required
