Job summary

SunSource is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to join the Fluid Power division in the Salem, OR area. You will drive growth by solving technical challenges and building strong customer relationships, working with a support team across inside sales and engineering.

You will prospect, present, and close opportunities while managing a defined territory. This role emphasizes relationship-building, technical know-how in fluid power, and ongoing development within a respected nationwide

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 2-year Fluid Power focus preferred.
• 3+ years of B2B industrial sales experience; Fluid Power sales a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with fluid power systems and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; CRM literacy.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally overnight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in collaboration with your District Sales Manager.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and presentations.
• Grow and maintain strong relationships with existing customers across your defined territory.
• Leverage support from inside sales and technical teams to deliver value-added solutions.
• Use CRM tools and data insights to manage your pipeline and territory.
