Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Business Director to lead North America sales growth for ASCO and TopWorx within the Fluid Control SBU. You will partner with regional teams to commercialize launches, drive growth programs, and provide technology expertise to the broader sales organization and channels.

You will lead a specialist team, establish processes, and deliver measurable pipeline velocity, close rates, and specs with end users, EPCs, and OEMs. Travel up to 60% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of technology, channel dynamics and customer needs in fluid control, high pressure, and switchbox industries.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization, leverage shared resources, partner with technical teams to address customer-specific needs.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and team engagement in a multi-product environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership: drive orders growth across North America for ASCO, TopWorx via regional network.
• Subject Matter Expertise & Innovation: align launches, growth programs, tech expertise to Fluid control SBU.
• Drive Specification: partner with regional network to drive end-user and OEM specs for ASCO, TopWorx.
• Training/Upskilling: develop effective training programs and presentations for direct sales and distribution partners.
• Market Intelligence/Strategy: identify unfulfilled needs, market trends, and opportunities to design growth programs.
