Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Flow Inventory Associate in Smithtown to maintain accurate vehicle inventory and support listings. You will handle receiving, shipping, lot upkeep, merchandising, and photo uploads to carmax.com, ensuring quality and readiness for customers.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, reading and transcribing inventory data, and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are preferred, with workstation trainings

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors/indoor environments.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for inventory records.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation trainings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory following CarMax inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising; keep areas clean and organized.
• Prepare vehicles for customer returns and loaners; wash and vacuum as needed.
• Execute photo station process for carmax.com listings.
• Drive vehicles on/off lot for repairs, storage or auction support.
