Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Flow Inventory Associate to maintain vehicle inventory and support customer experiences. You will receive, store, and merchandise vehicles, ensuring quality and accurate records across the lot and listings.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and hands-on work in indoors/outdoors settings. A valid driver’s license, high school diploma, and ability to lift 50 lb are required; flexible availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and pass driving standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for inventory records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized.
• Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
• Execute photo station process for carmax.com listings.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
